Joseph Kamanga Jr
My name is Joseph Kamanga Jr and I am 16 years old.
I like playing, watching and supporting everything about basketball. My hobbies include reading, group dancing, dealing with computers and listening to inspirational stories.
I praise God for my life; I was brought up in a Christian setup, and I am a Christian. Although I was born in Lusaka, I was partly brought up in Kitwe’s Kamitondo township by my mum.
Then in 2014 my mum passed on and, for me, life was meaningless and I lost all hope. Despite passing my Grade 7 exams really well, no-one was there to support me with my education and other basic needs.
With God’s abundant grace, my family got in touch with the Streetlife Project, and now I have a place to sleep, three full meals a day and a family I can call mine.
Above all I have been given access to education and everything needed as far as school is concerned.
I smile everyday, each time I look at my life.
Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Mayo-Mayo, Dr. Mwila and the sponsors worldwide.
If only you can see what’s in my heart, I know that GOD will surely not pass you by.
